Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Introduction
vector.ai ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI assistant that helps founders and operators manage calendar events, tasks, notes, contacts, and related workspace context in one place. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website, beta program, and application (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is currently offered as a private beta. Access is limited and may require manual approval.
Information we collect
Beta signup information. When you request beta access, we collect your name, email address, role or occupation, and optionally your phone number if you choose to provide it.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email address and may store your display name. We use Google OAuth to authenticate you and to access permitted Google Workspace data on your behalf.
Content you create or import. This includes tasks, notes, calendar events, contacts, companies, conversation history, chat messages, contact context, and related metadata you create in the Service or import from Google (such as calendar events, tasks, and presentation metadata).
Google Workspace data. With your authorization, we access read-only Google data including Calendar, Tasks, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Contacts, as needed to sync, search, and assist you. We do not write changes back to Google services through the Service.
AI and search processing. To power chat, semantic search, and memory features, we process your content using AI models and generate embeddings stored in our vector database. Chat messages and relevant workspace content may be sent to third-party AI providers for processing.
Settings and preferences. We store assistant settings you configure, such as your system prompt, assistant name, response length, and related preferences tied to your account.
Technical and usage data. We may collect information about how you use the Service, including page views, feature usage, device and browser type, IP address, error reports, and performance data through analytics and monitoring tools.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate you and manage beta access
- Sync and organize your workspace data
- Power AI chat, task creation, scheduling assistance, and memory retrieval
- Improve reliability, security, and product quality
- Respond to support requests and communicate about beta access
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:
- Google — for sign-in and read-only access to your authorized Google Workspace data
- MongoDB Atlas — for application database hosting
- Qdrant — for vector search and semantic retrieval
- OpenAI — for chat, embeddings, and related AI processing
- PostHog — for product analytics
- Sentry — for error monitoring and diagnostics
- Vercel — for hosting and deployment infrastructure
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Beta waitlist data is retained until you are approved, declined, or request deletion. You may request account or data deletion by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Withdraw Google authorization through your Google account settings
- Sign out of the Service or request account deletion
- Opt out of certain analytics where applicable
Because the Service relies on Google sign-in and workspace data, some features may not work if you revoke access or delete required data.
International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards when data is transferred internationally.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise your privacy rights, contact us through the beta page or the email address used to communicate with approved beta participants.
